A 16-bit remaster of the Atari 2600 classic Combat for any Atari ST with 512K and a color monitor. All 27 original game variations are here with the original gameplay, now with new graphics, music and a computer opponent.

FEATURES

All 27 games: Tank, Tank-Pong, Invisible Tank, Bi-Plane and Jet, with guided missiles, billiard hits, mazes, clouds, machine guns, 2 vs 2, 1 vs 3 and Bomber vs 3

Redrawn 16-colour graphics: shaded tanks and planes in 16 directions, textured battlefields with brick walls, gradient skies and soft clouds that planes can hide behind

Explosions, smoke trails and muzzle flashes

Scoreboard with its own color palette

Computer opponent with three skill levels: Easy, Normal and Hard

Title screen with an original chip-music march and game-select panel

New sound effects: tank engines, propellers, jet roar, gunfire and explosions

Runs at 60 frames per second

Color and black-and-white modes, with left and right difficulty switches as on the 2600

CONTROLS

Player 1: W A S D to move, Space to fire, or a joystick in port 2
Player 2: I J K L to move, Return to fire, or a joystick in port 1
F1 or Fire: start or restart a game
F2: back to game 1
F3: next game (the joystick also changes games on the title screen)
F5: color or black and white
F7 / F8: left and right difficulty (A/B)
C: computer plays player 2, on or off (the screen flashes)
V: computer level (the screen flashes green for Easy, yellow for Normal, red for Hard)
Esc: back to the title screen, and from the title screen back to the desktop

REQUIREMENTS
Any Atari ST, STF, STE or Mega ST with 512K RAM and a color monitor

Boot from the disk image (COMBATRM.ST) to start it automatically, or run COMBATRM.PRG from the desktop
